That's a naming resolution issue. Change your entry in
C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS from
<ip_addr> <shortname> <FQDN>
to
<ip_addr> <FQDN> <shortname>

Ok, the problem the domain i am sending mails to has a Policy that it
performs a reverse DNS on the sender. Now where nvmail is sending mails
from "Administrator@tmr" only w/o any domains so how do i make nvmail to
send mails using .com with the sender so that i doesnt get rejected from
the mail server!

Huh? I'm not sure I follow your question. Have you looked at the nvmail
command write-up in the Programmer's Reference?
This example sends to me and the Administrator id is not used:
nvmail.exe -server moose.raleigh.ibm.com ^
-recipient jshanks@us.ibm.com ^
-subject "test nvmail" ^
-message "nvmail test successful from moose"

Hi,
Using NV 7.1.4 windows 2003. Can we configure nvmail to send emails using
specified domain like when i send email using nvmail it by default uses
Administrator@<machinename> i want to do like this
Administrator@mydomain.com!
Can we do that or is it hard wired?
