Got it! DONE :) thanks!
That's a naming resolution issue. Change your entry in C:\Windows\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS from <ip_addr> <shortname> <FQDN> to <ip_addr> <FQDN> <shortname> James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and Windows Tivoli Software / IBM Software Group usman.taokeer@s-i ii.com Sent by: To owner-nv-l@lists. nv-l@lists.us.ibm.com us.ibm.com cc nv-l@lists.us.ibm.com, owner-nv-l@lists.us.ibm.com 08/05/2005 11:16 Subject AM Re: [nv-l] problems with nvmail Please respond to nv-l Ok, the problem the domain i am sending mails to has a Policy that it performs a reverse DNS on the sender. Now where nvmail is sending mails from "Administrator@tmr" only w/o any domains so how do i make nvmail to send mails using .com with the sender so that i doesnt get rejected from the mail server! I'm not sure I follow your question. Have you looked at the nvmail command write-up in the Programmer's Reference? This example sends to me and the Administrator id is not used: nvmail.exe -server moose.raleigh.ibm.com ^ -recipient jshanks@us.ibm.com ^ -subject "test nvmail" ^ -message "nvmail test successful from moose" James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and Windows Tivoli Software / IBM Software Group usman.taokeer@s-i ii.com Sent by: To owner-nv-l@lists. nv-l@lists.us.ibm.com us.ibm.com cc Subject 08/05/2005 10:24 [nv-l] problems with nvmail AM Please respond to nv-l Hi, Using NV 7.1.4 windows 2003.
