Thread-topic: [nv-l] Netview Upgrade
Ajith,

I have both upgraded and run fresh installs, each have worked equally well - just be sure to follow all the instructions in the readmes and install guides.  (I recommend upgrading - it tends to be easier to keep your customisations - but thats just me.)

Subject: [nv-l] Netview Upgrade

Hi,

Iam planning to upgrade Netview 7.1 running on AIX 4.3 ML10 to Netview 7.1.4 ....
As I have other tivoli products also running on the same TMR server wanted to know which path would be the best
i.e uninstall Netview 7.1 and reinstall netview 7.1.4 or just upgrade via framework desktop from 7.1 to 7.1.4....

Also do i need to restore the whole OV database in case of reinstallation or just the map database alone is necessary...

Thanks !

Best Regards

Ajith
