Thread-topic: | Adding custom trap definitions |
I've tried to add my own OID to the trapd.conf through the xnmevent interface using an OID out of the private enterprise MIB (1.3.6.1.4.1.31337, and no this is not legit with IANA) and then created a "test" event. When I send a trap to netview using snmp_trapsend on 1.3.6.1.4.1.31337.1 I get an error in the trapd.log that says Trap found with no format in trapd.conf. Looking at the /usr/OV/conf/C/trapd.conf I can see the entry in there, and trapd has been restarted, yet I'm still getting these errors. Do I need to do something else to add custom trap definitions? Thanks in advance, Michael J. Freeman |
