Dave, this is the first I have heard of GLBP and I went and read about it at http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/software/ios122/122newft/122t/122t15/ft_glbp.htm#wp1027177 It is described as a combination of HSRP and VRRP. It appears that there are no new mibs for this, just as there wasn't for HSRP until recently. It sounds like you should be able to put the virtual address in the seedfile with % and Netview should handle it ok. It will do an snmpget of the sysname at that address every 4 minutes, and only move it if it is not on the same device any more. Well, it will really be on all of them, but the one that responds is the one it is drawn on. Other than that, Netview cannot tell you much about the actual routing that is going on. I would define the virtuals as HSRP, and discover the individual routers by their loopbacks. Have you had trouble properly discovering the groups? Has anyone else had any experience with this protocol? Cordially, Leslie A. Sorry,,, Gateway Load Balancing Protocol....
Hi All, I know you can configure the seedfile to correctly identify a HSRP configuration with a leading %.. Is there a way to configure GLBP (Global Load Balancing Protocol)? Thanks, Dave AIX 5300-03 Netview 7.1.4 FixPack4_______________________________________________ NV-L mailing list NV-L@lists.ca.ibm.com Unsubscribe:NV-L-leave@lists.ca.ibm.com http://lists.ca.ibm.com/mailman/listinfo/nv-l (Browser access limited to internal IBM'ers only) _______________________________________________ NV-L mailing list NV-L@lists.ca.ibm.com Unsubscribe:NV-L-leave@lists.ca.ibm.com http://lists.ca.ibm.com/mailman/listinfo/nv-l (Browser access limited to internal IBM'ers only) _______________________________________________ NV-L mailing list NV-L@lists.ca.ibm.com Unsubscribe:NV-L-leave@lists.ca.ibm.com http://lists.ca.ibm.com/mailman/listinfo/nv-l (Browser access limited to internal IBM'ers only) |
