7.1.5 installs a new java for the DST problem. Try circumventing the problem by editing /usr/OV/conf/tecint.conf and changing UseStateCorrelation=YES to UseStateCorrelation=NO James Shanks Level 3 Support for Tivoli NetView for UNIX and Windows Network Availability Management Network Management - Development Tivoli Software, IBM Corp
Hello list- Environment: Netview 7.1.5 Solaris 9 I am getting a strange error on my test and production boxes both running new installs of NV715. This is not an upgrade install. I have: stopped the daemons via ovstop stopped nvsecd done a /etc/init.d/netnmrc stop All the following commands run as root then tried to restart with ovstart and netnmrc start and netview, netview -dconsole. The /usr/OV/tmp/netnmrc.ovstart was no help either. server1 # netview -dconsole portmap is already running Starting IBM Tivoli NetView daemons : WARNING: Daemon startup error. See /usr/OV/tmp/netnmrc.ovstart ERROR: The following REQUIRED daemons are not running: nvserverd As root user, start all the daemons by using one of the following methods: a) use the smit (ServerSetup) utility b) issue the command: /usr/OV/bin/ovstart c) rerun this command Thanks for any insight!!
