Hello Leslie,

I am doing a double authentication... users have to first enter the netview login/password and then the "action" redirect them to a different web page which ask them for an other login and password. This is done with a cgi script and the login entered by the user is then available as a variable. If you need any detail on how this is done, let me know.

Salutations, / Regards,

[NV-L] identifying users running custom actions on the java console

I wonder if any of you have figured this out. I've done the usual web client enhancements like the ones delivered in /usr/OV/prg_samples/webserver_examples, and I wanted to add a little logging in the scripts to record who did what. But everything seems to be executed by root by the time it gets to the server. I wonder if there is some variable I can reference in the MyActions.xml that can be passed to the script I'm executing on the server? I tried turning on debug in the /usr/OV/www/classes/log4j.properties file, but no account is associated with the action in /usr/OV/www/logs/netviewservlets.log either. There are userids in the request.log, but nothing there to tie the entries to the actions in netviewervlets.log. So is there some baby-talk xml that someone can point me to? Thanks in avance...

Cordially,

Leslie A. Clark
