See the man page on servmon. In the config file you can specify a "Discover Node Selection Criteria" which is either " * " for everything in the object database or the name of specific smartset. So to limit servmon to a specific subset of your servers, try creating a smartset with just those ones in it and then specifying that smartset as the "Discover Node Selection Criteria" in the servmon config file.
