Thread-topic: [NV-L] Ignore events from a specific host
I think you can use the Event Configuration tool (or edit the trapd.conf
file) to set the trap to "Don't log or display" on the Event Category
area and the Event Sources to your device list.

I know the first part works at suppressing traps (including their
automation) and believe the Event Source will limit the effect to named
sources.

Subject: [NV-L] Ignore events from a specific host

Good morning-
Just a quick question. Is there anyway to tell the netview server to
ignore/drop events from a specific ip/host? Well, without removing him
from the database and map. But then wouldn't the Netview server receive
traps and just say that the trap is unknown?
Thanx.
Mikemillion
