In theory, this should work so long as both NetViews are using the turbo
database enhancements. I have not actually done it, however, though I have
loaded V4 databases on a V5 system.

Subject: V4 to V5 database sync Question
James,
UPS has a Netview Version 5 Server and client in Atlanta, GA, and a version
4 server in Mahwah, NJ. We want to keep the databases in sync. We backed
up the version 4 using smit to create a /usr/OV.back.v4r1 directory, we
moved that directory structure to Atlanta and did a successful migration
install there. If we backup /usr/OV/databases in Mahwah (v4) and restore it
on the Atlanta server (v5) (all daemons stopped) will we have problems? I
mean are the database formats in version 4 usable in version 5? This is a
temporary measure, until we move both servers to V5r1 next month or so. We
are using the turbo database - if that matters.
Thanks.
BTW, Today (Tuesday) I opened 2 PMR's on the Web Browser event screen and
the dynamic collections.
