The only "safe" method of backing up NetView databases is to stop all GUIs
and database deamons. You do not want some user editing a map or NetView
updating a database, while you are trying to get a good and recover-able
backup.

Hi all,

dose anyone know how to backup NV6k without closing the
GUIs and stopping the processes? We use only the flat file
database.

Thanks
