Hi Don,

I have been asking this question also for some time. Apart from
some sales overtures I haven't really recieved much, however, I have
hunted around and learned of a set of scripts and code called
"itsodepend". This was prepared for AIXV3R2 so needs porting
and is also not made for Netview V5. I am currently trying to
get it updated. The itsodepend facility seems to enable the
automated creation of Collections which are used to facilitate the
determination of what is behind what. It is really intended to
be used in conjunction with TEC but I seem to recall that some
option has been included to provide similar functionality at the
ruleset level ( don't quote me on that though ).

As things stand I'm not sure how useful this will be to you but it
might be be something. I believe you can find the details of this
application amongst the IBM Redbooks on the Web.
