In addition to Ray Schafer's answer, have a look at Netview Installation
and Configuration Guide (p.8-20 for V5) :
"When netmon discovers a node, it discovers ALL IP addresses on that
node,
regardless of whether those IP addresses lie outside the groups of nodes
in the seed file."
