Loading the MIB will not automatically configure the event definitions in v5
(I didn't think it did in v4, either, but I can't speak from experience).

To configure the events, you need to run mib2trap against the MIB file,
which will generate a script of "addtrap" commands. Run this script and the
trap definitions should show up.

Subject: Netview MIBs

Hello Everyone,

I am new to Tivoli/Netview and in our IT enviornment we run two versions
of Netview 4.1 and 5.1. We have one MIB for IBM system88. I can
load/unload this MIB in verion 4.1 and I can go into events
configurations and comtek.mib is there, but I can load/unload in version
5.1 without any problems but it does not appear when I try to setup any
events.

Any help will be appreciated

Thanks

Kaven
