I'm not real sure what I'm looking for. This was done su to root, exporting display, and source Tivoli environment variables.

Sean,

Ok. odstat will report the last 200 transactions by default. You are
intrested in activities coming after Tivoli desktop startup.
try to output the messages to a file then search for DesktopLaunch (I mihgt
be wrong with the exact string,but I'm sure you
can't miss it ).
