nvevents.outside : True
should do it for you.
If not, make sure that you have specified just "True" and not "True " with
a trailing blank.
And if the GUI is up, you must re-start it.
You might also want to log out of the CDE and back in again to make sure
you Xdefaults are being read correctly.

I don't mean that I want to define another rule for the main-workspace. I
would like to detach the event-main-workspace from the rest of the
Netview-GUI.

Hi,
thanks. Now all Workspaces except of the default event-workspace
(forwardall.rs) start seperatly.
How can I impede the starting of the forwardall.rs ?

There are some settings in the Nvevents file in app-defaults for this (at
least to allow the Event window to start outside control desk, so that a
control desk is not automatically open and attached):
nvevents.outside : True
nvevents.wsOutside`: True

when we are starting the Netview GUI, the ControlDesk and the MainWindow
are always connected together.
I find no option in the app-defaults to change this.
