By having a default action of pass, it tells netview to pass every event on after running through the ruleset. The initial node should have a default action of block, and you should add a forward node after your collection check. This will tell Netview to drop all by default, except those that made it all the way to the forward node. -----Original Message----- From: Discussion of IBM NetView and POLYCENTER Manager on NetView [mailto:NV-L@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU]On Behalf Of Lucy Premus Sent: Wednesday, June 16, 1999 12:04 PM To: NV-L@UCSBVM.UCSB.EDU Subject: Re: AW: Rulesets for TEC Yes I did both of those things. Thats why I'm thinking there might be a problem with my ruleset. Maybe its not filtering out all the other events for some reason. |
