Well, I am not sure of your steps here Bill. Were you ever using forwardall.rs?
If so, then those events might have been in the cache and been sent over when it
finally connected.

TEC should only get what the active ruleset forwards, just like an event window.
So you can create a window running sampcorrNuNd.rs and see just what TEC should
get from that point on.

If you change the ruleset in tecint.conf, then you must either ovstop/ovstrt
nvserverd again to get it to use the new rule,
or you can use the command nvtecia -reload

James,
Thanks for your help.

I did have a large cache file on my netview box. I changed it to point at
my production TEC server and the cache emptied out.
But.....
My question still is shouldn't only node up/down events be forwarded from
Netview to TEC if I say use the sampcorrNuNd.rs rule
when I configure event forwarding. wtdumprl reveals that any event received
by netview is indeed showing up at my TEC server. Which in turn means it's
showing
up on my console, which is set to receive all events from nvserverd. My
tecint.conf file shows the correct settings.

Thank You

Bill
