Hello everyone. I have Netview 5.1.1 installed on an AIX box running 4.2.
I only install the product. I don't really use it so I'm not familiar with all
it can do. A person from our
Capacity Planning area uses function to collect data on the network for reports.
He asked if I would post this
to the list to see if anyone could help him out. I'll just paste the text of his
note below so you get exactly
what he's asking for. Thanks alot. I hope someone can help him with this.

I am looking for some documentation or most any information about using the
Xnmgraph java applet in the Netview Web server. I have looked at the script and
html in:

    /usr/OV/web/httpd/cgi-bin/TME10.NetView.RunMIBApplication
    /usr/OV/web/httpd/htdocs/TME10/NetView/JavaGraphs/Xnmgraph.html

and this shows an example of feeding the xnmgraph applet data from a Netview
MIBApplication, but this isn't really what I would like to do.

I have a bunch of snmpCollect'ed data that has been snmpColDump'ed off to flat
archive files. I make extensive use of the X-Windows xnmgraph for charting this
data via "Data Input Extensibility" with a series of shell and Perl scripts. I
would love to change this over to cgi-scripts and use the Web/browser based java
applet Xnmgraph instead.

I realize this is probably basically unsupported at this point in time, but I
would love to get whatever information is available.

As a side note, it appears that there are some parts of version 1.5 of NetCharts
from Visual Mining included in the web server. Is this stuff directly usable,
or was this some kind of snafoo in the distribution process? There is some kind
of permissions thing going on with these files and I have not been able to use
them. If these things are usable in someway or another, is there some
documentation available somewhere for them?

Thanks in advance,
