Hi all runing NetView 5.1.2 on AIX 4.3.2 I'm about to set up the regular backup strategy for our NetView-database. I'd like to have this done automatically via a scheduling program. As I see at the moment, there are two possible ways 1) using /usr/OV/install/tools/nvp.v5r1 (price is to stop all EUIs in advance) 2) ovstop, backing up manually, ovstart (price is to acknowledge all the daemon-down/up again messages, goodie is user's settings are not lost) How do other admins handle this? Any ideas, suggestions? With kind regards / mit freundlichen Gruessen Andreas Kuffer Kuoni Travel Ltd.
