It has been our experience (Sol 2.6 and NV 5.1.2) that displaying maps with
via the web interface works much more consistently with Internet Explorer.
We've had problems with various versions of Netscape giving us java errors
and hanging.

If you get java errors then most likely you need to upgrade your version of
Netscape. But they typically fix the ones the Windows version before the
UNIX
one. So I'd get the latest you can.

Any noted problems using netscape navigator web browser while viewing
netview network maps? When I use netscape, the maps do not display and I get
an error message of "java.awt.component:method setsize(II)V not found". I am
using netscape on solaris 2.6....Running Netview v5.1.2..
Thanks,
Dave

No refresh is necessary because the web client actually exports a read-write
map
you have open on the server.

Does anyone know when using a web client to view the network maps if
topology changes are seen on the fly or will the user have to "refresh" the
screen in order to see any changes?
Thanks,
Dave
