I am not certain that I understand what you want, but the Root map is not an
obejcet in the database. You create a map using the GUI.  Use File and the
pull-down menu.

hello,
I'am trying to build an extra map, with parent root map.
However I can't pull the object id of the root map out of the Ovwdb.
I use the name "Root" as input for  OVwDbSelectionNameToObjectId
(root_map_name);
Is there somebody out there who can help me?
