Hello nv-listers,
We are integrating two NOC's, say A and B, into a new consolidated C). A)
and B) are managing different network domains. Their configuration are:
A) is using TME 10 Netview 5.1.1 on AIX 4.1.2, with a set of distributed
MLM's.
B) has NNM4/ITO3.2 on HP10.2. No distributed option is installed.
We are planning that C) will have AIX4.3.3/TME10 Netview, and to replace B)
NNM's with an MLM (perhaps more HP/MLM's in the future), so that management
traffic gets splitted and filtered within each management domain.
1) Does anyone has had similar experiences ? Better solutions ?
2) Does MLM works on HP without any problem ?
3) If I understood correctly MLM's assume management of IP adresses within
its own LAN segment. How can I manage to assign B) MLM to manage the whole B
network ?.
4) When discovering B network on C) what strategies should work better. Just
adding the nodes on the C) seedfile ?
Saludos/Regards
