I am working on hardware configurations for the IBM F50. From what I have been able to determine there are two choices for a graphics adapter, the low end POWER GXT130P Graphics Adapter (PCI) in the $300 range and the high end Power GXT800P with Texture Graphics Adapter (PCI) in the $8000 list price range. For those of you running on an F50, please advise. The purpose of this server will be for Netview and network management applications. We will also run Netscape. What are the issues? There is such a big $ difference I can't afford to be wrong on this one. Thank you |
