I understand that these two are the replacement for the GXT150P that I
have seen most everywhere the last few years. I have used the GXT130P at
one customer site (on a 43P) and it worked fine for Netview. There was one
report of slow performance but it turned out to be an X11 problem, so be
sure
to use the latest maintenance level on the OS.

Cordially,

I am working on hardware configurations for the IBM F50. From what I have
been able to determine there are two choices for a graphics adapter, the
low end POWER GXT130P Graphics Adapter (PCI) in the $300 range and the high
end Power GXT800P with Texture Graphics Adapter (PCI) in the $8000 list
price range. For those of you running on an F50, please advise. The
purpose of this server will be for Netview and network management
applications. We will also run Netscape. What are the issues? There is
such a big $ difference I can't afford to be wrong on this one.

Thank you
