Robert;
You must completely uninstall NetView server before you attempt to install it
again. You can do that from
1. the NetView Server icon in the policy region you chose during the
installation, under the Maintain submenu
2. or from SMIT under Communication Applications and Services

After you do that, run the clenup script located on the NetView CD in the
MUSTSEE dir. to ensure nothing is left from the failed install.

NetView always installs into /usr/OV. Create a filesystem and mount it on this
directory. If you do not want this, I do not think a symbolic link
/usr/OV pointing to another location will not work. I have never seen any
dependence on the Framework installation directory.

There is probably no problem with your CD. This is a usual message about the
PKT files installed at the time an error occurs.

Please, follow the release notes for NV 5.1 and for the maintenance releases
you are installing.

HTH,
svasti te 'stu,
Vladimir.
