Roberto -

I am not sending you away. You can ask all the questions you want, and perhaps
someone can help you, but as an IBMer I thought you would have known that this
is a user forum and answers are provided on a volunteer basis. You can ask for
an urgent response, but you cannot count on one. By all means, ask what you
like. It just makes me nervous when I suspect that you are at a customer site
and need a personal response. That's what Support is for.

And your response to Philip Guerra puzzles me greatly. In AIX, adding a host
name or IP Address to the seed file means "discover this device if you can" to
netmon. He will do that before he does anything else, after laoding the current
database. Have you looked in the Installation Guide and read about using a seed
file?

 James and all,
excuse me, if I opened a not pertinent question to this forum.
Probabily I didn't understand the reason for this forum.
Next time I'll put more attention to postpone a question.

In any case you gave me an important issue to trace netmon and I thank
you.

P.S. To Philips Guerra: Remember that a single address in the seed file
does not mean to filter discovery devices.

Thanks
