Hi All:
I have a problem with the data collection & threshold, if I select a
node from the map and this node is registered in the DNS ( the node has
a selection name given by the DNS not an IP address) the snmpCollect is
not able to collect any information from the node, the snmpCollect log
show something like:
Changing node xxx name to its long name xxx.domain.
Nothing to collect, verify ..........
moreover if I select a node that isn't register in the DNS the
snmpCollect works fine, or if I have a node that has an DNS entry and I
give to the snmpCollect the IP address directly, it replaces the IP
address by the long name of the node and collect the data.
I am not sure what is happening, I configure the DNS by my self ( I an
not an DNS expert!) and the DNS looks like it where able to resolve the
names fine!!.
I have tried to fix the snmpCollect but nothing works, I wonder if
anybody has had this problem before ?
