Well, I am sorry to hear that Larry, but my only suggestion is that you try to
trace the pager and see what it is doing.
And you will probably have to call Support.
To trace the pager, ovstop nvpagerd. Then make a backup copy of
\usr\ov\conf\ovsuf. Edit ovsuf and find the entry for nvpagerd that start with
a "0". Look for the place between the colons where it says ": -w:" and make it
say ": -w -d:" , save it,
and ovstart nvpagerd. Then when you send a page, you will get an nvpager.alog
with a lot of stuff in it, that should tell us what number we are dialing and
what errors we are getting. You may have to call Support to get help with
analyzing it.

Subject: RE: [NV-L] NV6 for NT - nvpage
Well I'm still without nvpager.
The error I have in nvpager.dumped is "excessive carrier session connect
failures".
I'm using the same exact settings I had in nv.carriers when I was on Netview
for NT version 5.1.2.
The same exact modem driver and com port.
nvpagerd gets a dial tone dials a "9" (that's in nv.carriers to get an
outside line before the local number)
and it just keeps trying and trying. It does this 40 times before ending
and dumping.
Anybody else having NVPAGER problems with Netview for NT version 6 ?????
Thanks,
Larry Chance
