Hey thanks!!!

I think I maybe on the right track now!!! But can you do me one favor
and help me with the layout of the file. My error message is still
missing the Login name field. this is what I have:

.../dbconf.dat
------------------------------
RIM <---- I think this tells the program to use RIM
                        <---- ?????? I dont know
                        <---- ?????? I dont know
SYBASEDB <--- Server Name field (I think this is the name that
appears in the interfaces file??)
/usr/OV/log/dblog <--- Log stuff
/usr/OV/log/dbtrace <--- Log stuff
127 <--- Trace settings stuff
------------------------------

Heres the error message I get;
Line 166 File snmpColappls/nl_nvColToSQL.C \
Unable to open database with DB type = RIM, login ID = , Server name = SYBASEDB

Any Ideas??
Thanks

I had some similar issues. If memory serves, it's because of the strange
way that the database integration is described in the docs...

Anyway, check your /usr/OV/conf/db.conf file. I think you will find that
the RIM object name isn't right. At lease, that was the problem I had.

Best of luck.
