When you say V5, you should specify V5.1 plus the maintenance,
of course.
The truth is that there was not a lot of new function in V5, since the bulk
of the work went into integrating it with the Tivoli Framework. This may
not impress your customer customer if they are happy with V4.
Other functions included (and these are just the ones I can think of):
- more pervasive recognition of Collections (Smartsets) by other
functions such as Data Collection and Rulesets
- support for Frame Relay networks by means of the the if_to_sym file
- enhancements to rulesets
- upgrades to MLM
- really great improvements in netmon seedfile processing
- the web client
- the nvdbimport and nvdbformat commands
Then there is the currency issue - an awful lot of bug fixes, and support.
But I don't know that I would push going to V5 at this stage. I would just
work on getting them to plan for V6.

I know we had a discussion like this when 5.0 came out, but I don't have a
personal copy of anything that old.
But I am not sure you find any thing "exhaustive" there either, though
there
were some longer lists of features.
Tivoli does not consider it necessary to distinguish V4 from V5 any longer,
since V4 is out of support. and has been the end of 1998. Generally
speaking,
no problems you encounter using Version 4.0 will be fixed by Tivoli.

Does anyone know where i can find the difference
between netview V4 and netview V5?
The company i work in only use netview V4, but i only
know netview V5.
They don't want to migrate to V6 this year, but they
expect me to explain the differences between V4 and
V5.
I was unabled to find documents about this on tivoli
web site.
I found by myself a few differences (web interface,
query collection in ruleset editor, MLM) but i don't
think this list is exhaustive.
