So it is not getting data from those nodes.
With the tracing turned on in verbose mode (-V) , what is put in the
/usr/OV/conf/snmpCol.trace file? Any mention of problems?
When you use the mib browser to walk one of those nodes, and
get right down to the ifInOctets and locIfInBitsSec
mib variables, you need to verify that the agent on
the device actually can answer the question you are
asking. I suspect that it does not. If you can get
data using the mib browser, then snmpCollect will be
able to collect it. If you cannot get it with the mib
browser, then it is usually an agent problem and you will
not get it with snmpCollect either. When you are in the mib browser,
be sure to notice which interface instances, if any, return values.
Maybe only some of them do.

Thank you for the response.

This is what I have verified.

1) Data is being collected from other individual sites nodes, but not
collection groups that I have created and also not some individual sites.
2) Those collection groups are green, Normal Up.
3) The MIBs I have selected are:
mgmt.mib2.interfaces.ifTable.ifEntry.ifInOctets. and
private.enterprise.cisco.local.linterfaces.lifTable.lifEntry.locIfInBitsSec.

4) I have turned on verbose mode SNMP data collector
5) When I run the command snmpCollect -C "nodename" I receive snmpCollect:
sent collection configuration check event for "ipAddress".

snmpColDump is still not receiving the data for the collection group sites
and some specific individual sites. What can we try next?

Sounds like you are going it right to me..Two suggestions:
1) look in /usr/OV/databases/snmpCollect and see if data is actually being
collected from those nodes. If the files are there for the mib variable and
the interfaces you expect, use snmpColDump to view it and see if you nodes
are in there. If not, it is not collecting anything from them.
2) try starting snmpCollect with the -V for verbose tracing.

I assume you have used the mib browser to verify not only that those
devices
are reachable, but that the agents actually return a value for that
specific
mib variable, and that the collection is not Suspended.

Subject: [NV-L] Collection Group Problem

I have created a collection group of routers to measure locIfInBitsSec. But
my
collection is not collecting any data when I view in snmpCollect.

This is what I have done...
Collection setup with String Attr: 'Selection Name'~DMV' and 'isCisco'=True
and
Bool attr: 'isNode'=True.

Selected Test and displays all the nodes that I need collected. Accessed
Data
Collection and Thresholds and I add the collection group to locIfInBitsSec
which
was previously defined by 2 other nodes that do not match the collection
group
criteria. It's a simple collection, store, no thresholds, all instances.
When I
select show data the original 2 nodes display data for instances but the
collection group nodes are not displayed.

The Test button on the MIB Object Collection Summary is deselected so I am
unable to test to verify collection.

The correct Apply and Ok buttons were selected, all my daemons are running,
collections from individual nodes are being collect. No messages in the
snmp
trace log. Able to snmpwalk to thenode.

Any suggestions on why this data will not display when I select "show
data".

Thanks for you help in advance!
