I would like to hear some comments from people who have tried to use
the paging facility on Netview for NT. For instance, how does the lack of
a ruleset editor to do correlation affect the pages you send?

Cordially,

Subject: [NV-L] NetView: AIX vs. NT

Hello All.

We are considering purchasing NetView for NT for on of our smaller sites.
We
already have NetView for AIX.

I was wondering if someone could clarify some of the differences between
the
two, specifically:

1. Does NetView for NT also have a Web Interface? If so, does it use the
Apache Web server like AIX does?

2. Does NetView for NT have a built-in paging ability, like NetView for AIX
does?

3. What is the scripting language of choice for NT, i.e. I use Korn Shell
scripting with AIX. Would it be Pearl?

4. Does a SQL database come with NetView for NT? Nothing comes with AIX.

Any info appreciated.

Sincerely,

Gord Michaels.
