Hi guys,

I'm currently running a NV5.1.1 server on AIX and will be requiring an
IP address change on the Netview server, as it is needed to be moved from
one subnet to another.

The question is, apart from the steps required for Tivoli Framework
stuff, can I just run the reset_ci script when the IP address change
occurs? Reading a student's guide from Netview course, it stated that you
can only run reset_ci if you change IP address of your Netview server
within the same subnet, but if you require an IP address change to a
totally different subnet, you will have to clear your database and
re-discover? Is this true?

If this is the case, is there any other way that I can change the IP
address of my Netview server without having to rediscover as I don't want
to lose all my map customisations....ie. locations, etc.

Thanks and regards,
     Danny
