This is a multipart message in MIME format. I had same problem with netview6000 v.5.1.1 on AIX 4.2.1,
and I resolved it doing :
1) objprint -S I saw how many objects was defined in my
database (first line): say it A
2) I had to set options for ovwdb daemon, fixing the number of obiects to
hold in cache to 2*A.
bye

Probably he means ovwdb cache, which can be changed in daemon
configuration
panel in serversetup
(or NetView admin menu in Tivoli).

James,
The reason for asking is on my Netview (for NT) server,
when the 'Updating Map' process is in progress,
the entire system seems to just hang until the updating is finished.
There's a consultant in house this week that's supposed to
be a 'Netview Expert'. He said all I have to do is increase
the cache used by Netmon. Although he couldn't show me where
that change is made.
