How long have you had NV on NT up-and-running?

It kind of sounds like the Access database for NetView is
either too large, or corrupt. We started seeing problems
when the DB got above 1GB (before compression).

Assuming you don't care about the DB info itself... you
can try the following:

1) ovstop
2) cd \usr\OV\databases\odbc
3) copy tess_db.mdb_empty tess_db.mdb
4) ovstart

If that doesn't work... you got me !!!

In regard to NT ruleset question... No you can't yet.

Gary Boyles, Intel

I am having some problems with trapd, i am hoping someone may be able to
shed some light. The following is what i see in the nv.log.

09:59:15 [trapd] Trapd: (odbcThread) SQL error with Set Position. to add
record

09:59:15 [trapd] 1. ()) [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]Error in
row

09:59:15 [trapd] 2. (S1000) [Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver]
Could not save; currently locked by another user.

09:59:15 [trapd] Trapd was unsuccessful storing the trap: blah blah blah
blah.......

Thanks for any input at all.

One other question is there a way in NV 6.0 for NT to create rulesets. I
only see a way to do this in UNIX.
