Uwe, I just found my notes on how to disable this feature
in 6.0 in case you have not found it yet. You need to delete
the file /usr/OV/license/nv.license and restart netmon. In
6.0.1, there is a new option on netmon that is on by default,
or you add to the lrf manually to turn off.

I have used it in 6.0.1 for an AIX customer and an NT customer
and the results looked good. I did not see the problems I saw
with it at 6.0.

Cordially,

Subject: [NV-L] RFI-Feature

Our Customer have NetView 6.0 with enabled RFI. Now we have a lot of
Messages
     - Network x.x.x.x is Reachable again
     - Interface up
     - Node up
but we don't get Network x.x.x.x is unreachable or Down-Events.

We get the messages from Nodes with SNMP-Status-Poll by polling or demand
poll,
but not from all Nodes in Network.

How works the RFI and can we disable the feature.

best regards
Uwe
