If I wanted to make another map for another user, I would do:
File...Save Map As...
Or if I wanted to do it from the commandline, I would use the
copy option on the ovw command. Then I would open that
new map and edit out the parts that user does not want to see.
I hate doing this, however, because multiple maps can lead to
some extra administrative burden. Most notably, if you want to
delete and rediscover a thing, you must open both maps and
delete it from all submaps on each map. However, the function is
there to support individual maps for operators.
Is there a special reason why you wanted to do this with the API?

Subject: [NV-L] Creation of a new map, how?
Hello list,
For a specific user we need a special map, I know that via the user
resource
file an other map than the default map can be specified for that user.
I want to create this map with the OVw API. I've been looking in the
Programmers Guide to see if it can be achieved.
Can't find something about it.
Does anyone know if this can be done and how?
Thanks in advance.
