If you are experiencing a name resolution delay, check the /etc/netsvc.conf
file.
This will eliminate the use of "IPV6 resolution".
hosts=local,bind4
Also check the /etc/environment file. It should have two entries as follows.
This was recommended by NetView support for my installation and it helped
performance.
