We have a Cisco 6509 that supports VLANs. Every time the network guys
reconfigure a VLAN, NetView detects an interface up AND a node up. Of course,
because I have the NodeUp firing off pagers, everyone panics thinking that the
6509 has been reset.
First: Is this behavior normal?
Second: Is there any way to stop the NodeUp detection while VLANs are being
reconfigured without disabling the normal detection for NodeUp/Down?
I've put the events below for reference. Thanks in advance for everyone's help!
