You don't configure them per se. NetView finds them by SNMP. If you have
more than one interface on router A connected to more than one interface on
Router B, then there is a metaconnection between then. It appears as a
much heavier line (or you can select a different style such as dashed from
the GUI) on the map). NetView learns about metaconnections by its normal
discovery mechanism.

Hi,
I have NV Ver. 6.0 on AIX, Need help in configuring meta connections...
In map there should be significant symbol for the meta link in
default map.
Trap alert i.e. popup and mail needs to identify the specific link
has failed.
Can the Interfaces on router i.e. serial, ethernet etc. can pick up
the description from the /etc/hosts file as picked for the objects
in map.
