Thanks for your help Richard, Michael and David. Yes, one router in
particular is "close to the edge" (it has 22 or so DLSW circuits which have
the priority). The router support guys think it may have a memory leak as
the CPUHOG value has been increasing since it's last restart a few months
back.
I think the solution will be to turn off new node discovery. I'll also
stress that the router guys revisit the Cisco recommendations as well.
We did have the number of route entries limited to 10, so that doesn't
appear to help with the arp cache.
