1)    How CPUs on the H270? Run lsdev -Cc processor. How much paging space?
lsps -a
        Did you look at the Tuning Considerations in the Install and
Configuration Manual?
2)    Is en1 a 100MB ethernet adapter? Is it set to 100MB Full Duplex? Does
it match the switch? Run entstat -d en1 
3)    How many objects in the database? ovobjprint -S 
4)    Was the count at 0? What was the receive pool buffer size? Run entstat
-d en1
5)    Make sure the netmask of your server adapter and the troubled objects
are all correct.
6)    Search the man page on the no command. Search for the route_expire. 
7)    See #2

        2. It is having two N/W interfaces but working only on one i.e.
"en1"       which is set for Twisted Pair 
        3. No. of objects having problem of N/W connectivity is not fixed as
well the nodes are not specific. 
        4. After resetting the receive buffer stats it does not increment 
        5. What shall I check specific for subnet masks. 
        6. WHat value should I set for "no -o route_expire= ?" command is it
"o" or "1" 
        7. I checked the port stats are normal and swapped the ports and
the network points wall outlets also to isolate the port or cabling
related issue.

        8. "errpt" does not give any errors related to ethernet adapter

        And if it is AIX 4.3.3, and you are using ATM, know that the default
size 
of 
the arp cache may be too small, and things may be aged out. I'll post 
the full explanation in a separate note, since I just tried to check the 
archives 
and they don't seem to be there at the moment!

server? 
However, here is a few things to check: 

            Since the loss of connectivity  is to devices on the same
network 
(correct?), check your network adapter(s) on  the NetView server. 

            1) Is it 100MB Full Duplex? 
    2) Does it match the switch  settings? I avoid using auto negotiate on 
the switch or server  adapter. 
    3) How many adapters on your  server? How many objects on the network 
you are having problems  with? 
    4) Have you checked receive  buffer stats on the NetView servers 
ethernet adapter? i.e entstat -d en0. 
        Check  the No Receive Buffer counter. entstat -r en0 will reset it. 
It is incrementing  at all? 
    5) Check your network masks  on the objects. 
    6) Since these objects are on  the same network - you should not be 
losing routes correct? 
        If you  want routes to remain, check the "no" command route_expire 
option. 
    7) Check your switch statistics  for errors on the port. 
    8) Check your errpt command. Any  ethernet adapter errors? Any ethernet 
adapter recovery events? 
    9) Have you checked your  cabling?

N/W, this gets restored some times after reboot of AIX  server once, and 
sometimes it needs reboot more than once. Is it bug ? I had  applied the 
patch for Framework available on NetView 6.0 CD. 

        I had reloaded AIX, Framework, NetView on the same  Server to
isolate the 
problem may be of earlier configuration. 

        Please reply.
