You can use the snmpodump command to schedule the deletion of the
snmpcollect database. Out of the box I believe snmpodump is set to delete
the snmpcollect database every day. Go to the command prompt and type at to
see the scheduled jobs. You can use the NetView GUI under Serversetup >Files
> Schedule SNMP Data for Deletion to schedule a deletion schedule. Keep in
mind if you are using MS Access there is a size limit on stored data and the
db will not collect data once it is full. (around 1.5 GB) I have experienced
even after a scheduled deletion has occured I was not collectiong any data.
The database size was showing still 1.5 GB empty! You must Compact the
database manually. On NT 4.0 go to the Control Panel ODBC Icon System DSN
tab Configure. I do it every two days as a matter of habit. Ypu can also
use snmpodump to dump and format the snmpcollect data to a file for further
processing/graphing
The graphing tool is broken. You can have serveral weeks of data and it
displays the last 12 hrs , maybe, or last hour. I have seen this behavior at
several customer sites. Supposedly it has been fixed in NV 6.0.2
