I don't have access to NetView so I can't be sure if this command will
work, but it's worth a try.
"ovw -mapcount"
That's a generic NNM command and hopefully NetView supports it.

Here's a trick that I use to count all of the objects in a submap.
First, draw a box around all of the objects to select them.
Then, pull down Edit --> Hide objects from this submap.
The objects will all be hidden. There will be a message in the lower
right half of the window indicating the number of hidden objects.
After you have the count, just Un-hide them again.
