I'll bet some of you have tried this: used netcheck in a script to manage
the status of some objects representing services on ports, so we can have
on
Unix what we have on NT - ongoing status checks rather than just initial
discovery of services like http, with graphical representation. Would you
care to give us an idea of how big a job it was? (I know, it was really
really
hard and you are so smart you figured it out!) And what approach you took?
Did anyone try wteui to create the objects, or maybe APM and then send
fake
MLM threshold traps to set the colors? Or did you go manual? It seems to
me
that you ought to be able to rig something up in two to three weeks, but
then I have
not tried it! Just looking for an estimate. Thanks in advance...
