Your supposition is likely correct. Your users are killing the
exported terminal leaving the underlying application process(es)
running with no display.
I use Exceed, and I've found that it's alright to close Netview
submaps with the X-button, but you MUST use File > Exit when
exiting the main ovw gui. ....YMMV.
