Judy,

My router people did something similar to me several months ago, but only on
one Cisco 7500 router. They swapped all the Token Ring addresses with all
the Ethernet addresses. Netview and I were totally confused. With Mike
Pearson's help at Tivoli Support, here, in a nutshell is what I did one
harrowing weekend.

ovstop netmon
cd /usr/OV/lrf
ovdelobj netmon (de-register netmon so it won't start during ovstart)
restore /usr/OV/databases (dir structure & files from backup taken prior to
address changes)
ovstart (with netmon de-registered; no polling or discovery happening)
netview (bring up the r/w map)
DELETE from all sub-maps all references to the offending router and
re-addressed networks.
ovmapcount -a
ovtopofix -a
cd /usr/OV/lrf
ovaddobj netmon.lrf (re-register netmon)
Make sure hosts and seedfile are current with new addresses!
ovstart netmon
rediscover the devices & networks with their new addresses.

Please read this as a description of the process I went through, not
specific instructions from which I may have omitted something. Get your
instructions from Tivoli Support. A BIG gotcha I ran into was running out
of space in the /usr/OV filesystem during the restore resulting in a totally
corrupt value_info.pag.

BTW, this was AIX 4.2.1 & NV 5.13.
