I will hazard a guess but it is only that because you haven't given us
enough information to understand your problem.
Are the traps being logged to trapd.log but not being shown in the Events
window?
Then the problem is likely to be your ruleset.
Where is it executed from -- the user's Events window or from
ESE.automation?
What does the ruleset look like?
You ought to describe it -- From the initial Event Stream node (which is
set to Block? Pass?) there is connected a ? What ? Trap Settings Node?
With what options? And so on, because it is extremely difficult to figure
out what is wrong if you do not tell us what you have configured.
But if it is in ESE.automation, then the initial Event Stream node should
be set to BLOCK and the ruleset should not contain either a Forward or a
Resolve, or you will eventually cause the daemons to hang. This has been
discussed on the list before.

Hi,
Having NetView 6.0.1 on AIX 4.3.3.
Configured Rulesets to forward mails in case of traps. Facing problem very
often that the mails stop generating, It is seen that the Control desk
events also stop getting generated, I had specified the NetView attributes
in mail option.
What could be the problem.
