In theory, there is no limit. More the question is, how are you using
them? If you are doing trap filter, thresholding....great, no limit.
If you are doing data collection of MIB entries....great, no limit. If
you are distributing polling with NetView at the 6.x level, I would be
careful. Distributing polling takes SNMP activity for netmon to
distribute polling, this SNMP activity replaces netmon actually polling.
In a very large environment where you are distributing polling of 10,000
IFs, you will find that it takes longer than 5 minutes to distribute that
polling and get the MLMs configured. If you are doing a 5 minute polling
period this will mean that you missed one polling period.
